العملات تباع وتشترى على أساس وحدات ثابتة تسمى الوحدة لوت وھي أقل حد یمكن المتاجرة به في سوق العملات .

حجم العقد الواحد العادي يساوي 100000 وحدة ( 1.00 ) يعني ان النقطة الواحد في اليورو دولار تساوي 10 دولار
ويمكن التداول بأكثر من عقد و بأي حجم تريد حسب الرصيد المتوفر بحسابك الخاص بالتداول لكن يفضل الالتزام بالمخاطر
و عدم فتح عقد بأكثر من 5% من الرصيد
هذا بالنسبة للعملات الرئيسية وقد تختلف قليلاً لبعض العملات الأخرى
قد يختلف بعض منصات التداول من حيث شكل الوحدات و طريقة تحديدها.
