وهو أحد أقدم وأشهر المؤشرات التي تستخدم على نطاق واسع .
وهو مؤشر يبين لك معدل السعر خلال فترة زمنية معينة تحددها أنت .
ولكنك أردت أن تعلم مثلا ان معدل سعر الجنية خلال العشر gbp/usd = فمثلاً : لو فرضنا أن سعر الجنية الآن 1.4000
ساعات السابقة لكي تعرف هل سعره الآن أعلى من معدله خلال ١٠ ساعات أم أقل ؟
تستطيع ذلك عن طريق استخدام برنامج الرسوم البيانية حيث سيقوم البرنامج برسم خط يمثل معدل السعر خلال ١٠ ساعات .
سيظهر هذا الخط على الرسم البياني ليشير لمعدل السعر خلال العشر ساعات .
فكيف تمكن البرنامج من حساب ذلك ؟
لقد قام البرنامج بجمع سعر إغلاق آخر ١٠ ساعات وقسمتها على ١٠ والرقم الناتج هو معدل سعر الجنيه خلال ١٠ ساعات .
وقد جمع ١٠ ساعات وقسم على ١٠ لأنك أخترت السؤال عن فترة ١٠ ساعات ولو اخترت السؤال عن معدل السعر خلال ١٠٠
. ساعة لجمع سعر إغلاق آخر ١٠٠ ساعة وقسمها على ١٠٠
وهكذا لأي فترة زمنية تختارها .
