قالت مصادر تجارية اليوم الثلاثاء ان مصفاة الشركة الباكستانية العربية للتكرير المحدودة (باركو) التي تبلغ طاقتها 100 ألف برميل يوميا والتي جري اغلاقها بسبب الفيضانات العارمة في طريقها لاستئناف العمل هذا الاسبوع.
ويعني هذا أن احتياجات شركة النفط الباكستانية الحكومية من واردات الخام لتعويض النقص في الامدادات ستنخفض. وقال مصدر تجاري "اكتملت تقريبا اصلاحات المصفاة بعد الفيضانات وسوف تستأنف العمليات في غضون اليومين القادمين تقريبا." وتم اغلاق مصفاة شركة باركو -التي تملك الحكومة الباكستانية حصة 60 في المئة فيها بينما تملك امارة أبوظبي الحصة المتبقية من خلال شركة الاستثمارات البترولية الدولية (ايبيك)- لمدة أسبوعين بسبب الفيضانات. ونظرا لاغلاق المصفاة اشترت شركة النفط الباكستانية الحكومية وهي أكبر شركة نفطية في البلاد شحنتين من وقود الطائرات يبلغ حجمهما 35 ألف طن اجمالا وثلاث شحنات من البنزين يبلغ حجمها 105 الاف طن للتسليم في سبتمبر أيلول.
