فى الواقع هناك مصطلحين مهمين فلو أفترضنا أنك أودعت 10000$ و أردت أن تشترى ب 1000$ منهم فهذه ال 1000$ تعرف بالمال المستخدم (USED FUND)او (USED margin)(المصطلح الاول)و ال 9000 الباقيه هى FREEFUND)(FREE margin)(المال الحر) .
و تتم المعامله كالأتى انت ستقوم بالدخول ب1000 دولار من حسابك كما قلنا فى الفقره السابقه و ستستخدم مضاعفه 1:100 و بهذا ستدخل انت بقيمه 100000 دولار يمكن تقسيمها الى قسمين 1000 دولار دفعتها أنت و 99000 دفعتها لك شركه الوساطه كدين عليك سوف تسترده مع أغلاقك للصفقه .
