بدايةً الزوج يكون هكذا :
EUR / USD وهو يربط اليورو بالدولار الامريكى ,
يسمى اليورو- فى هذه الحالة - بالعملة الاساسية base currency وهو العملة
التى يتم عليها التداول و يسمى الدولار بالعملة المقابلة counter currency.
و يوجد لكل زوج سعران - فى نفس اللحظة - هما سعرى البيع SELL و الشراءBUY بينهما فارق بسيط يسمى الفارق أو spread .
