تذكر عند حديثنا عن العملات المباشرة والعملات غير المباشرة أن اليورو والجنية الأسترليني هما من العملات المباشرة حيث
, EUR/USD : وبالتالي يكون رمزهما أولاً ثم رمز الدولار Base currency يكونان هما العملة الأساس
GBP/USD
أما الين الياباني والفرنك السويسري فهما من العملات غير المباشرة حيث يكون الدولار هو العملة الأساس مقابلهما ويكون
USD/CHF , USD/JPY : رمز الدولار أولاً ثم يأتي رمزهما
وكما تذكر فإن السعر هو المبلغ المطلوب دفعة من العملة الثانية للحصول على وحدة واحدة من العملة الأساس .
معنى ذلك فإذا ارتفع الرقم أمام اليورو مقابل الدولار معنى ذلك أن اليورو يرتفع لأننا نكون مطالبين بدفع كمية أكبر من
الدولار للحصول على يورو واحد وهذا يعني أن اليورو إرتفع مقابل الدولار
أما إذا انخفض الرقم أمام اليورو مقابل الدولار معنى ذلك إننل مطالبين بدفع كم أقل من الدولار للحصول على يورو واحد
وهذا يعني أن اليورو انخفض مقابل الدولار .
ونفس الشىء ينطبق على الجنية الأسترليني أيضا وكل عملة مباشرة
