مؤشر ADX هو أحد مؤشرات فوركس للتحليل الفني لقوة الاتجاه، و هو مبني على EMAs (متوسطات التحرك المتزايدة) للمؤشرين الآخرين: + DI و -DI's. DI (حركات الاتجاه) هي عبارة عن حساب لكيفية ارتباط القمم والقيعان و الإغلاق في اليوم الحالي مع مستويات القمم والقيعان و الإغلاق لليوم السابق. ثم يتم تقسيم مجموع هذه الأرقام على متوسط المدى الحقيقي (ATR)، والذي سنغطيه لاحقًا في هذه المقالة ..
