ارتفعت أسعار الذهب خلال تعاملات اليوم رغم صعود الدولار أمام أغلب العملات الرئيسية، لكن المعدن النفيس تلقى دعماً من المخاوف في الأسواق العالمية جراء انتشار الفيروس الصيني.
وأعلنت الحكومة الصينية ارتفاع عدد الوفيات جراء فيروس "كورونا" إلى 26 حالة وإصابة أكثر من 850 آخرين، وتم عزل مدينتين في البلاد ظهرت فيهما الإصابة بشكل كثيف.
