عندما تقوم بتعيين أمر استوب متحرك (عند س من النقاط)، المنصة لن تفعل شيئاً حتى تربح صفقتك س من النقاط (معدل الاستوب المتحرك). ثم تقوم المنصة بتعيين حد وقف الخسارة على بعد س من النقاط من السعر الحالى (فى حالتنا هذه هى نقطة التعادل حيث لا يوجد مكسب ولا خسارة). إذا تحرك السعر لأعلى، يتم تحريك حد وقف الخسارة لأعلى ايضاً بشكل تناسبى. إذا تحرك السعر لأسفل، يظل حد وقف الخسارة كما هو. هذا يعنى أن الاستوب المتحرك يتتبع السعر الحالى على مسافة س من النقاط. بهذه الطريقة، يمكن للتجار الحد من الخسائر المحتملة ولا يحد من الربح. لذلك فإن حد وقف الخسارة المتحرك يتضمن خوارزمية: "تتبع السعر فى الربح". انتبه! حد وقف الخسارة المتحرك يعمل فقط عندما تكون منصة التداول متصلة بالسيرفر عن طريق الانترنت.

تحايل على السعر عندما ينحرف فتزيد النقط في استوب لوز وقد تجعل امر ستوب لوز معلقا وتراقب ميل السعر فادا مال فلا تغلق الصفقة
ولكن تزيد في عمرها بنقاط وهدا قد ياتيك بربح بدل من الخسارة تحياتي للجميع
